1960 GM 4104

Hey,

Robert Griffith here. I've got a 1960 model 4104... I'm thinking about selling it if I get the right offer. It stays on the road weekly and only had us on the side of the road once in 15 years. It just needed a stop/start solenoid. The coil went bad in it and the fuel pump went at the same time. We had it towed about 15 miles and taken care of by our mechanic. It's just an extremely inexpensive bus to operate.

All caps, tailgate, back cap, front cap, headlight package and even the strip behind the wipers were done at Brooks R & M Fiberglass in Turner, Oregon. The front end is new and it steers like a dream. The top part of the engine was done in 1998 and it is in great shape overall. We keep it clean. It has a shower, 4 bunks, refrigerator, two rooftop air units and a 10 KW Onan generator with a 4-cylinder Kubota diesel engine. There's a 90-gallon fresh water tank, 10- gallon electric water heater and a 50-gallon black water and 50- gallon gray water tank. We service it every 2 1/2 months and have since we got it 15 years ago. Although it used to be a positive ground vehicle, it is now a NEGATIVE ground vehicle now as we had our mechanic change the diodes in the gen/alt so we could get gages as needed. The interior is functional, although someone with a knack for building and machine work could just make a showplace out of it. We're musicians and we have no aptitude for that kind of work. We have cared mainly for it mechanically. It has a 4 valve 671 Detroit engine.

We just need more room. We sing Christian music for a living and our daughter is pregnant and we're adding other band members as well. I'm going to try to find a picture of it or have my son-in-law take one if anyone would like to see it. This bus takes us all over the country. We live in North Carolina and do 2 west coast trips each year plus all up and down the east coast.

Anyone interested? Let's hear some offers. Be careful, it's a member of the family.
